Loire Valley

The Loire Valley, Nantes - the city of Jules Verne, the Atlantic Ocean and the Royal River - Loire. It got the royal status in 1300 - 1700, when it was chosen by the French kings as the place of construction of magnificent castles: Chenonceau, Chambord and others. To the west lies Brittany, to the South - a wonderful seashore that evokes thoughts of eternal beauty.

Moving West towards Paris you find yourself in the heart of Loire Valley, a land of green hills, which is regarded as the most tranquil and quiet piece of France, valued so high for its unique pastel beauty. In the suburbs of Nantes you will visit Renaissance abbeys, churches and castles and meet with craftsmen - stonecutters and winegrowers, who have made this region the richest one in France. The sight of these castles will make you want to time-travel, but there are other castles, still inhabited by people.
